anxiety in a love involving the
drastic differences in their ages and
backgrounds, adding profound
implications even half a century

Assorting the episodes that took place in the
various locations in the "Pacific Theater" during
the World War U, this publication in 1947 led
to the renowned Broadway musical in 1949,
then, developing further into the production of
the movie, released in 1958.
This publication gained the Pulitzer Prize in
1948, in the Fiction category.
